Winter Stations

Got out to the Woodbine Winter Stations. After weeks of sustained spring-like conditions, we had a snowstorm last night. Unfortunately the weather didn’t heat up until much later in the afternoon so I was left out there freezing while waiting for the kids to finish climbing all over the structure.

You can learn about the structures here.

Morning Light

As the days start later and the shadows get longer, I’ve found that the light entering my apartment in the morning casts a wonderful glow on the furniture. Here I’ve captured one image, each day, for the past week at 9am.

Mystic Garden

One of the things that I find makes photography special and resonant for me is the way that it treats “ordinary moments” as potentially extraordinary. The things that make a life beautiful are cobbled together from those moments.

On a day where the weather felt underwhelming and overcast i decided to travel up to the Toronto Botanical Gardens and see if anything would come of it. What I got in return was clear skies and a gorgeous golden hour, captured below.
